In between Marathon and Key West is an area called the Lower Florida Keys. The Lower Keys that we operate in encompass the Keys of Bahia Honda, No Name, Big Pine, Little Torch, Middle Torch, Big Torch, Ramrod, Summerland, Cudjoe, and Sugarloaf Keys. With an amazing amount of backcountry channels, shallow flats, artificial wrecks, pristine reefs, emerald green, turquoise, and deep blue waters the Lower Keys is perfect for all types of water lovers including fishermen, snorkelers, divers and people who just enjoy the vast beauty of pristine waters that are full of life.
Triton Boats manufactured piano Piano in 2010. The 218 Bay explorer is just shy of 22 feet and perfect for the waters of the Florida Keys. Able to cruise the backcountry but able to handle the waters of the Atlantic to get to the deep blue. She accommodates up to six passengers, but most trips are for 2-4 to allow for that personalized experience. Overhauled in 2020 she is complete with a 300HP Mercury Verado, all the latest electronics, and depth sounders, she is safe and efficient. With a T-top and additional shade structures, she handles the Caribbean Sun with ease.
Piano Piano got its name from Italian slang for “take it easy,” an Italian way to bid farewell to close friends. It seemed like a natural fit for a Charter Boat Company because when you ask just about anyone, “why do you spend time on a boat?”, the answer is almost always something about getting away, relaxing, destressing or just to take it easy.
Piano Piano has been running Charters since 2010. She first began running charters in Destin Florida targeting offshore species like Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Grouper, and Triggerfish as well as inshore species like Redfish and Speckled Trout. Another popular trip was the Dolphin Eco Wildlife Excursions, Sunset Trips, and day trips to the World Famous Crab Island.
In 2018 Piano Piano relocated to her new home in the Lower Florida Keys on Little Torch Key where she spends time on Looe Key Reef for amazing snorkel and dive trips. Tours to the American Shoal Lighthouse and day trips out to Content Key for an amazing time on the sandbars. Of course, she still fishes. Early summer she can be found offshore targeting Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, and Sailfish. In the heat of summer, she is on the reef catching Yellow Tail and Mutton Snapper. In between, she is in the backcountry fishing for Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, and Mangrove Snappers.
Piano Piano is perfect for a day on the water here in the Lower Keys as she can get out on the water even in the not so pleasant days. So if you are looking for some time on the seas reach out, and let us schedule a day for you.
